Secondary Antibodies

Secondary Antibodies

Secondary antibodies, in general, are antibodies that target specific regions of a given organism's Fc domain on a variety of isotype classes. Once developed, these “antibodies to antibodies” are often conjugated to horseradish peroxidase (HRP), alkaline phosphatase, or fluorescent dies to be used as detection reagents in western blot, immunocytochemistry or histology, or flow cytometry applications.

Aviva Systems Biology offers a wide range of anti-antibody species developed in a range of hosts so that researchers can use one functionalized detector antibody to detect many individual antibodies of a given class from a given species. Secondary antibody hosts include Chicken, Donkey, Goat, Mouse, Rabbit, and Sheep. These secondary antibodies, in their various formats, can recognize specific immunoglobulins from approximately 20 different species.
